Pharmacy in Practice CPD Skills WalletPHARMACY IN PRACTICECPDSkills Wallet

Turn reading into better practice.

The CPD Skills Wallet brings your learning and reflections together. Explore how PiP articles and on-demand learning could connect with GPhC professional standards, discover further reading and build a record of what you put into practice.

  • Suggested standards
  • Further reading
  • Your own reflections
How the CPD Wallet works
  1. 01   Explore your learning

Choose a PiP article or on-demand learning page. The AI learning mapper suggests relevant professional standards, supporting excerpts and further reading from a checked source library.

  2. 02   Make it your own

Use reflection prompts to consider what you learned, how you applied it and the difference it made. You write the reflection in your own words.

  3. 03   Keep your progress

Save and revisit drafts, organise your CPD records and export them when you need them. The wallet is available to active members through Account → CPD Wallet using your existing PiP login.

AI suggestions support your preparation; they are not GPhC approval, certification or automatic submission to myGPhC.

Authorised PiP staff can read saved entries for member support, quality review and service development. Personal reflections are not sent to the AI mapper. Read the CPD access and retention notice.

This year’s conversation

What does pharmacy’s value look like?

For a patient, it might mean an explanation that makes sense, a safer prescription or care that is easier to reach. For a pharmacy team, it means the time, confidence and support to make that difference.

In 2027, we will explore how pharmacy can demonstrate its contribution to better care, and what needs to change to help the whole team deliver it.

Bring your experience, your questions and your ideas. Help shape the conversation about pharmacy’s future.

Learn from practice

Explore the decisions, challenges and improvements that matter in everyday care.

Have your say

Contribute your perspective and hear what colleagues across pharmacy are thinking.

Make connections

Meet people working across settings and take fresh ideas back to your team.

The questions we want to explore

These themes will help shape the day.

Value for patients

How can pharmacy improve access, support prevention and make a meaningful difference to people’s lives?

Confident clinical practice

What do prescribers and the wider team need to make safe decisions and deliver care with confidence?

A sustainable pharmacy team

How can skills, support and better ways of working help teams meet the needs of their communities?

Making our contribution visible

How do we use evidence, experience and patient voices to show where pharmacy makes a difference?

This conference was developed by Pharmacy in Practice. Our conference will be supported by the sale of trade stands to companies from the pharmaceutical industry. The sponsoring companies have had no input into the conference agenda, speaker selection or presentations.

RESEARCH & PRACTICE CONTRIBUTIONS

Share your research. Show the value of pharmacy.

What difference does pharmacy make, and how can we demonstrate it? Share your research, service evaluation, clinical audit, quality improvement project or evaluated education initiative at PiP 2027 on Wednesday 17 March 2027 at Novotel Edinburgh Park.

We welcome work from across the pharmacy team and its collaborators. Tell us what you did, what you found and what others can learn. Local projects and larger studies are welcome, including findings that challenge expectations.

Submit a structured abstract of up to 300 words under one of four themes:

  • Better outcomes and safer care
  • Access, prevention and inequalities
  • People, education and workforce
  • Services, collaboration and resources

You can submit completed work or work in progress, clearly identifying the findings available and what remains incomplete. A finished poster is not required at this stage.

Tell us whether you would prefer a digital poster, a short oral presentation or either format. Formats will be allocated following review and subject to programme availability.

Accepted abstracts will be published in the Pharmacy in Practice Journal and online, following editorial checks and author approval, with links to accompanying digital posters.

Abstract deadline: 31 January 2027, 23:59 UK time. Authors will be notified of review decisions by 12 February 2027. Final posters, where applicable, and author-approved abstracts are due by 26 February 2027.

Please read the submission guidance for full requirements and publication terms, including the requirements for work submitted or presented elsewhere.

The conference will be supported by companies from the pharmaceutical industry through the purchase of trade stands. They have no input into the design or delivery of the conference.

Abstract submissions close on 31 January 2027 at 23:59 UK time.
