Quizzes
When participating in quizzes, you may optionally provide your email address to receive answers and a personalised certificate. If provided, this email address is stored temporarily on our server managed by Turriff Web.
Pharmacy in Practice Research
We occasionally conduct research related to pharmacy practice. We will always explain how your data will be used before collecting it. Any data collected will be minimal and relevant—for example, your area of practice or years registered. We will make our purposes clear in each case and align with the principles outlined in this policy.
Learning Management System (LMS)
Our LMS may send emails related to courses you’ve enrolled in. These may include:

Enrolling in a course does not subscribe you to our mailing list. You must opt in separately for promotional emails.
Weekly Email Sign-Up Popup

Pharmacist Independent Prescriber Support Programme
Data gathered for this programme is held confidentially and only used to support its delivery. We may share anonymised data with trusted third parties for evaluation and development. Personal information will only be used for promotional purposes with your explicit consent.
Digital Live Events
To comply with GDPR and the ABPI Code, we collect personal data as described above for virtual events. Supporting companies may request additional details, which will only be shared with your explicit permission.

This section explains how we collect and manage personal data for the Pharmacy in Practice Annual Conference.

Research Poster Submissions
By submitting a poster for display at our annual conference, you affirm that the content is your original work. You retain intellectual property rights but grant Pharmacy in Practice permission to publish the poster at the event and online in our Poster Zone. You accept responsibility for its content and agree not to plagiarise.
Booking and Payments
Training course bookings must be made through our website using WooCommerce. You must confirm that the course is appropriate before completing your booking.
- Payment must be received in full before course access is granted.
- After purchase, you’ll receive a confirmation email and access details within 48 hours.
- All prices include VAT. VAT receipts are available on request.
- For block bookings, contact us directly.
User Accounts and Passwords
You must create a user account to access our LMS. This enables features such as:
- Email reminders
- Certificates
- Awards tracking
Please keep your login secure. If you suspect a breach, contact us immediately.
Cancellations and Refunds
- You may request a refund per your statutory rights by contacting us here.
- Full refunds are available if you cancel more than 7 days before an in-person event. If you cancel within 6 days, no refund will be issued, but we’ll try to reschedule you.
- If we cancel an event, we’ll either reschedule or offer a full refund.
